A Podcast is an audio program you can listen to on a mobile device, such as a Smartphone or Tablet. You will need a podcast app to do this. We've listed some of the most popular apps on this page, but there are hundreds to chose from.

In addition to mobile devices, you can listen to podcasts on your desktop computer or laptop. Many podcasts are also available for download, which means you can listen to them later, even if you don’t have internet access.

Podcasts are like talk radio shows. They usually look at one general subject, such as Disability News You Can Use. The hosts will pick different topics that are related to their show and talk about them in a series of episodes. Many hosts also invite guests to these episodes. The guests join the hosts to share information, additional resources, and personal experiences about the topic for that episode.

Podcasts are a great way to learn about new topics and stay informed, and we’re excited to add these resources to our website! On this page, we’re sharing podcasts about Self-Advocacy and related topics, including information about the Rhode Island Developmental Disabilities Community.

Click on the buttons below to visit the following websites and learn more.

Note: You may need to install these apps on your device before you can use them. They are all available FREE!
