ABOUT THE MATERIALS...

Resources on the Advocates in Action website is available to view and download for free. Unless otherwise noted, all photos and materials on this site are the exclusive property of Advocates in Action and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission.

We are happy to share, though. Just send us an email and let's go from there!Most of the files that you'll find here are in low-resolution. Many also have watermarks and other security measures to protect the content. You are welcome to use them to learn and teach others about Self-Advocacy and related topics.

This is just a sample of the materials and resources that we have developed over the years. These and other materials are available in high resolution, watermark-free, enhanced quality versions for a small fee. Click here to email us if you would like to know more about buying our material in print and/or CD and DVD.

In the meantime, you will need the right software to enjoy the materials online. Here's some information that may help:


"PDF" FILES

Materials that end in ".PDF" are in "Portable Document Format". These materials are like a photocopy of the original. You can view them on line and print them. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader for these files. You can get the Acrobat Reader for FREE from www.adobe.com



"PPS" FILES

Materials that end in ".PPS" are Powerpoint Shows. These materials are like a slide show with lots of graphics to help explain the information. You will need the Powerpoint Viewer to open them. You can get the Powerpoint Viewer for FREE from www.microsoft.com


ON LINE SHOWS


Several of our Powerpoint Shows are available to watch on line. Some of them are also narrated so you can hear what's on each slide. These are viewed best with the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. If you don't already have it, you can download it for free from www.microsoft.com

VIDEOS

We also have a variety of videos available on our website. Most of these are in FLASH format which should play right inside your web browser. If you don't have the flash movie player, you can download it for FREE from www.adobe.com

"QT" - A Quicktime Movie that requires the QuickTime player. Download it for FREE from www.apple.com

"WMV" - A Windows Media Video that requires the Windows Media Player. Download it for FREE from www.microsoft.com (note: if you use a Mac, you can play WMV files by downloading the FREE Flip4Mac player from www.microsoft.com)
