Advocates in Action is Rhode Island's Statewide Self-Advocacy organization. Our Board of Directors is composed of individuals who have developmental disabilities. Board members represent groups of people who also have developmental disabilities from all over RI.

Self-Advocacy means finding out what's important, speaking up and making a difference. We've set this area of our website up to help people do just that.

We don't claim to have all of the information, but we will share what we can. If you have other information about advocacy events, issues or resources relating to people who have a developmental disabilty, their families and friends, please click here to send us an email so we can add them to our site!
